Eurecat, the Technology Centre of Catalonia, is leading a dynamic programme of initiatives to address the socio-political effects of climate change, with an emphasis on health, migration, gender equality and conflict.

After the Cassandra Conference, last February, we start with the first of the four webinars planned for 2026.

The first webinar of 2026 is an opportunity to learn of the work of CASSANDRA collaborators in Sudan, Palestine and Morocco.  The webinar will explain how CASSANDRA is being implemented in Arabic-speaking countries where dramatic challenges are faced on an everyday basis. The audience will have the opportunity to interact with the speakers and to learn how they can become involved in the CASSANDRA programme.

A webinar that will be presented exclusively in Arabic.

17.00 – 17.05 Time CET | Introduction

17.05 – 17.40 Time CET
The leaders of CASSANDRA Pilot Local Climate Forums in Sudan, Palestine and Morocco will describe the specific challenges which their local communities face and how they are working in the most difficult of circumstances to alleviate the situations.

17.40 – 17.55 Time CET | How can I get involved in CASSANDRA?
The online audience will have the opportunity to question the leaders of the Local Climate Forums and express their opinions regarding the progress of the CASSANDRA Programme.

17.55 – 18.00 Time CET | Conclusions

Decision makers, representatives of local, national, regional and supranational administrations, NGOs, interest groups and individuals concerned with the socio-political effects of Climate Change.
